Project | Interactive Motion in Rive (Personal Project)
Year | 2026
Role | Interactive Design & Animation
Introduction
Finishing a workout is a moment of effort and relief.
But most apps treat it like a simple data screen.
This project explores how motion and interaction can turn that moment into a rewarding completion experience.
Problem
“Year in Review” (or “Wrapped”) experiences celebrate progress at the end of the year.
But meaningful moments don’t only happen once a year.
Even small achievements deserve a moment of celebration — finishing a daily task, completing a workout, or even pushing through something difficult like running 10km.
Most apps simply present data statically after an activity.
While informative, the moment often feels purely functional, missing an opportunity to reinforce motivation and strengthen the user’s connection with the product.
Goals
Games are exceptionally good at rewarding players after completing a challenge.
As a big fan of games like Persona 5 and Fit Boxing 3, I’ve always been fascinated by how their result screens celebrate effort and progress.
I explored how the same idea could be applied to a workout completion screen.
Solutions
The animation unfolds as a short sequence:
1. Result Reveal
The screen first presents the workout results with quick highlights.
Then it transitions into a summary screen with a button at the bottom, inviting the user to interact.
2. User Interaction
Pressing the button acts like a daily check-in, turning the passive results screen into an active moment.
3. Streak & Progress
It transitions into the streak reveal — the moment designed to deliver a sense of satisfaction and anticipation.
Finally, a calendar view expands to reveal additional details.

Outcome
By combining motion, interaction, and visual rhythm, it transforms a plain data summary into a celebratory feedback moment.
The experience highlights effort and progress — making the app feel rewarding, motivating, and worth coming back to.
